Weekly Tarotcast™: 10-29-19 through 11-05-19
The Emperor Tarot
This week’s Tarotcast card is The Emperor tarot – a free Tarot reading for you. This card represents order and traditional masculine authority figures. Often he represents a father or paternal influence. Traditionally masculine roles: business leader, police force, court system and government are all represented by the Yang energy of this card.
This is a great week for getting organized! Logic and left-brain thinking along with creating structure pay off for us this week. coming week.
On the Tree of Life The Emperor Tarot card travels Path 28. Sephiroth or sphere 7, Netzach (Victory). Imbalance as the Masculinized female. Joinedto sephiroth or sphere 9, Yesod (Foundation). The sphere of Luna, the crystallization of energy. Its Hebrew letter is Tzaddi, meaning “fish hook”. This is the first letter in the word tzaddig, or “righteous man.” So tzaddi stands for both righteousness and humility.
Mr. Crowley reassigned this Hebrew letter. It is usually associated with The Star card of the Major Arcana. He had his reasons; to agree or disagree with them I will leave up to you.
This card is the zodiacal trump of Aries, in which Mars rules and the Sun is exalted. This energy gives us plenty of opportunities to show our leadership skills.
In real-time astrology, the Sun is transiting Water-sign Scorpio. Mars was the traditional ruler of Scorpio before Pluto’s discovery. Mars is currently transiting Air-sign Libra, Aries’ polar opposite sign. There is intense sexual energy in these transits. Combined with the energy of this week’s card, avoid coercion and manipulation.
Mercury retrogrades in Scorpio on October 31st. Happy Halloween! Stay calm and prepared. Delays, miscommunication and problems with technology are likely. Also, an old flame may reappear on the scene. You’ll need to decide whether that’s a good or a bad thing. Proceed with caution either way, as they’re not likely to stay around very long.
Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of this card includes aggressive control. Domineering, authoritarian actions, rigid thinking and over-planning. Other things to avoid are irrational, impulsive actions, hyper-sexuality and combative behaviors.
Let’s focus on navigating this strong energy by using the best of it without going overboard. We can exercise personal responsibility and be good grown-ups.
Power colors: scarlet, warm gold tones and any bright, vivid shade of red.
Power stones: ruby, bloodstone, diamond, garnet, black onyx and clear quartz crystal. Wear these as jewelry or carry them as power stones. They will help to balance the light-and-dark energies of authority and leadership. They will also temper the fires of ambition and determination.
Power metal: iron. Not wearable but a symbol of endurance and strength. Also stubbornness, so take care.
Power fragrances: eucalyptus, thistle, wild rose, woodbine, pine and tobacco (the scent). These will calm the nerves yet stimulate the mind and body in a positive, focused way.
Power foods: foods prepared with allspice, cayenne, garlic, ginger and pepper. These will give a fiery kick to your recipes this week. Remember fire is a great servant but a dangerous master. Also artichokes and sunflower seeds or oil. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.
