Your Weekly Tarotcast™: Nine of Cups Tarot

Weekly Tarotcast™: 6-25-19 through 7-02-19

Nine of Cups Tarot

This week’s Tarotcast is the Nine of Cups Tarot card. This is one of the happiest, most positive and optimistic cards in the deck. It symbolizes happiness in all aspects of life especially our romantic relationships.

Is everybody happy? You bet! This is a week of satisfaction and contentment. Smile and celebrate. Enjoy the pleasures and comforts of the very best things life has to offer. This card is the big “YES!” Get ready to say yes to almost anything this week. Prepare yourself for the big “YES” – good things are coming your way.

The Elements

Jupiter is expansive and tolerant. Combined with the element of Water it manifests abundance and good fortune. It is spirituality expressed within the structure of organized religion. The union of knowledge and wisdom.

The Number 9

The Nines of the Minor Arcana bring things to a conclusion. They represent integration, fulfillment and attainment. With Cups and the energy of Water, we enjoy romantic, social and sensual pleasures. Satisfaction and contentment reign.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, this card represents the formula 9. Sephiroth or sphere 9, Yesod (Foundation). The sphere of the Moon where energy crystallizes in the suit of Cups – Briah, the Creative world. Combined with the element of Water (our heart and emotions). Plus Jupiter in Pisces, equaling Happiness.

Astrology

This card represents Jupiter in Pisces. It rules from 10 to 20 degrees Pisces, or March 1st through March 10th. If your birthday falls on or between those dates you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. Jupiter’s energy is “bigger, better, more.” The gift of the good life is right at home in the mutable water sign of the Fish, where things are comfortable and cozy.

In real-time astrology, the Sun is transiting Pisces’ fellow-Water sign, Cancer. Cancer’s love of comfort, family and food is a nice match to the energy of this week’s card.

On June 26th Mercury enters Fire-sign Leo. Our thoughts are bold and confident. We picture grand goals – the bigger, the better. We’re less focused on details. We’re also more prone to drama. Overall, we are feeling energetic, strong and optimistic. Avoid arrogance.

When Mars enters Leo on July 1st we’re feeling assertive. Creativity is highlighted. This is a good time to devote yourself to projects that enhance your professional reputation. When Mercury turns retrograde about a week later, take extra care in communication and travel to avoid problems.

This forecast period goes out with a bang! The New Moon (total Solar Eclipse) in Cancer on July 2nd trines Neptune (planetary co-ruler of Pisces). Family values are highlighted during this lunation. This is ultra-sensitive energy. It harmonizes with, but also magnifies the emotions. In combination with the energy of this week’s card, our luck is in. Particularly in our work and career, great opportunities can seem to come out of nowhere. If you are job hunting, the right position can materialize exactly when you need it.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of this card includes conceit and vanity. Avoid being gullible. Check your “Too Good to Be True” Meter, because if something IS too good to be true you’ll want to take a pass.

Light

Let’s focus on sharing our good fortune and positive news with others and allowing them to share theirs with us! Stay receptive and be ready to say “YES” – accept affirmatives into your life this week.

Alchemy

Power colors: sea-green, blue, purple, violet and white.

Bonus: Music

There couldn’t be a better time to listen to music that makes you want to dance and sing. Or – if you’re feeling too shy for those – just lifts your spirits high! How about Pharrell Williams’ “Happy?” or “Don’t Worry, Be Happy?” The word “happy” doesn’t even have to be in the title. One of my all-time favorites (the happiest flippin’ song in the world) is “Jackie Wilson Said” by Van Morrison. Whatever works for you.

Power stones: amethyst, aquamarine, sapphire, emerald or topaz. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones to manifest what makes you happy and serves your highest good.

Power metal: tin. Not great for wearing – but a strong alloy (and ally) for strength and flexibility.

Power fragrances: musk, lavender, jasmine, heliotrope, carnation, poppy, cedar, honeysuckle and hyssop. These will inspire love, happiness and optimism. They awaken Pisces gentle, loving nature and radiate Jupiter’s noble power.

Power foods: foods prepared with clove, sage, anise, cinnamon, nutmeg and mint. Especially in liquids (soups, teas) and in all types of desserts and sweets. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.
