Your Weekly Tarotcast™: Eight of Disks

Weekly Tarotcast™: 4-16-19 through 4-23-19 Eight of Disks This week’s Tarotcast card is the Eight of Disks. This suit is also called Pentacles or Coins. This card represents order, self-discipline and attention to detail. There are benefits to knowing when to watch and wait, to wait and see. With a stable, secure foundation one can build as needed when the time is right. The Elements The energy of the Sun warms and quickens the Earth. Plants and trees grow, providing  light, beauty and nourishment. The Number 8 The 8s of the minor Arcana evaluate and organize. They bring reason and communication to their respective suits and elements. The eights bring justice. Also karmic balancing or rebalancing, order and structure within limitations and boundaries. Like the sevens, their position on the Tree of Life is somewhat weak and unbalanced. So where’d all this balanced energy in the Eight of Disks come from? Your Weekly Tarotcast™: The Devil

Weekly Tarotcast™: 4-09-19 through 4-16-19 The Devil This week’s Tarotcast card is the Devil. This major arcana tarot card symbolizes burdens and temptations. Short-sightedness and a lack of perspective enslave us through our desires. Passivity, victim consciousness and fear dominate our consciousness. When we realize that we are the only ones who can remove the chains which bind us, we escape from bondage. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life this card travels path 26. It joins sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty) to sephiroth or sphere 8, Hod (Splendor). Its Hebrew letter is Ayin which means “eye.” Our physical “eye” is our way of seeing the world. Our other “I”, or ego, is the way we want to see ourselves and want the world to see us. Astrology This card is the zodiacal trump of Capricorn in which Saturn rules and Mars is exalted. In real-time astrology, the Sun continues its transit of Fire-sign Aries. Saturn is transiting its home sign of Capricorn (through March 2020). When it retrogrades later this month, new restrictions, limitations and boundaries arise. Additionally, existing ones may become stronger. There are no easy shortcuts and this is not the time to cut corners. Saturn gives …

Your Weekly Tarotcast™: Four of Cups

Weekly Tarotcast™: 4-02-19 through 4-09-19 Four of Cups This week’s Tarotcast card is the Four of Cups. The energy here is protective and nurturing. These are qualities associated with the maternal instinct. Caring, affection and emotional stability will be recurring themes during this week. We will likely be looking for ways to express unconditional love. This can contribute to a period of relative ease and feelings of security. Yet, this energy borders on being too much of a good thing. “Mothering” turns into smothering when we attempt to bind, restrict or limit others in the name of “love”. The Elements The fluid element of Water does not contain itself or conform to structure. Unstable liquid needs something outside itself to impose order. The Number 4 The Fours of the Minor Arcana bring form and structure to their respective elements. Here is stability and nurturing for further development and manifestation. The Fours bring unification, domestication, reflection, or gestation to events and situations. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life, this card represents the formula 4. Sephiroth or sphere 4, Chesed (Mercy, the sphere of Jupiter and the rule of law). Plus the suit of Cups (Briah, the Creative world; the element of …

Good news is on the way, and it’s coming fast – the focus is on communication in all forms this week. As far as how fast news travels? Well, time (and motion) are relative, after all.
