Your Weekly Tarotcast™: 8 of Wands

Weekly Tarotcast™: 3-19-19 through 3-26-19 8 of Wands The 8 of Wands is this week’s Tarotcast card. This card represents the end of stagnation and delay. Good news is on the way, and it’s coming fast – the focus is on communication in all forms this week. As far as how fast news travels? Well, time (and motion) are relative, after all. The Elements When the Air element inspires the Will (or Spirit), it releases high-velocity energy. This card is a representation of electricity and light. The Number 8 The 8s of the minor Arcana evaluate and organize. They bring reason and communication to their respective suits and elements. The eights bring justice. Also karmic balancing or rebalancing, order and structure within limitations and boundaries. Like the sevens, their position on the Tree of Life is somewhat weak and unbalanced. This card benefits from its astrological influence; ideas or impulses rise and expand to serve a higher purpose. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life this card represents the formula 8. Sephiroth or sphere 8, Hod (Splendor – the sphere of Mercury and the feminized Male) in the suit of Wands, (the element of Fire. Atziluth, the archetypal world; our Will …

Weekly Tarotcast™: The Hermit

Weekly Tarotcast™: 3-12-19 through 3-19-19 The Hermit The Hermit tarot card is this week’s Tarotcast. This card shows us that taking a solitary path will aid us in our search for truth. Solitude and being alone don’t have to mean feeling lonely. But, we may find that we seek and very much enjoy our own company this week. Probing our own inner consciousness and exploring our psyches will appeal to us. We find the solutions to long-standing problems through the insights we gain and the discoveries we make. We’ll have the seeds to sow for a crop of new ideas and fresh directions. We’ll likely withdraw from current events and from our relationships and surroundings. This is not due to depression or disinterest, but the energy this week calls us to look within. Reflection and introspection will supply the tools that allow us to emerge refreshed, renewed and ready for action again. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life this card travels path 20. It joins sephiroth or sphere 4, Chesed (Mercy – sphere of Jupiter and the rule of law) to sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty – sphere of the Sun; energy in complete and balanced manifestation). Its Hebrew …

Your Weekly Tarotcast™: Six of Disks

Weekly Tarotcast™: 3-05-19 through 3-12-19 Six of Disks This week’s Tarotcast card is the Six of Disks. This suit is also called Pentacles and Coins. We can overcome financial crises and experience welcome material gains this week. The energy of this card is great for acts of generosity on the emotional as well as the material level. We’re likely to have a better understanding and tolerance of other people. The Six of Disks is great for harmonizing and balancing opposing forces. We’ll have plenty of chances to use that energy to our own benefit and the benefit of others. The Elements The natural, pure and material success of Earth is in transition. The Moon’s phases are always changing, so it’s best to remember that all things pass. The Number 6 The sixes of the Minor Arcana restore harmony and balance. The fives cause disruption. They cleanse, regenerate and create conflict in a stable system. Afterward, the sixes bring affirmation, confirmation, validation and solidification. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life this card represents the formula 6. Sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (meaning Beauty – the sphere of the Sun, energy in completely balanced manifestation) in the suit of Disks (Assiah, the …

Weekly Tarotcast™: The Lovers

Weekly Tarotcast™: 2-26-19 through 3-05-19 The Lovers This week’s Tarotcast card is The Lovers. This is one of those cards with an obvious meaning on its face. On one level, this card represents romantic partnerships, relationships and marriage. One of the deeper meanings of this card is the importance of choice. Making correct choices applies to our whole lives, not only our love relationships. To make our best choices, we need to know who we are and what we want and need to find personal fulfillment. Even deeper, this card is a symbol of alchemical work. The synthesis of duality through the mystical marriage or union of twins. Identical things that appear separate or different unite. These are the two aspects of our ourselves. Kabbalah On the Tree of Life this card travels Path 17. Sephiroth or sphere 3, Binah (Understanding) joins with sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty). Its Hebrew letter is Zain (a sword) – surprising? It seems like that would be more in keeping with a fighter than a lover. Yet as a“weapon” the sharp blade of intellect cuts through illusion and irrelevancy. A sword comes to a point – all these things are necessary to choosing …

Weekly Tarotcast™: 5 of Cups

Weekly Tarotcast™: 2-19-19 through 2-26-19 5 of Cups This week’s Tarotcast card is the 5 of Cups. This energy focuses on disappointment, regret and loss. Notice I say focused on. We may be dwelling on negative feelings from past experiences. We’d be better off focusing on events that are actually occurring here and now, in the present. The Elements Here, Fire and Water seek mutual annihilation rather than cooperation. Scorpio’s waters dissolve and putrefy, thwarting Mars’ action. The Number 5 The Fives of the Minor Arcana challenge order and structure. Their suit and element get shaken out of complacency, stagnation or stasis. They bring a period of cleansing, regeneration, or reassessment in events and relationships. The number 5 keeps energy flowing. Otherwise, the solidification and stability created by the fours would degenerate into inertia. On the Tree of Life, this card represents the formula 5. We begin with sephiroth or sphere 5, Geburah meaning Strength. The sphere of Mars; motion, aggression, storms and stress. This combines with the suit of Cups (Briah, the creative world, the element of Water – our emotions). Adding in Mars in Scorpio (more on that in a moment) we get “Disappointment.” Astrology This card represents …
