The Lovers: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

The Lovers: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

 9-07-21 through 9-14-21

TheLovers

The Lovers is this week’s Tarotcast card. This is one of those cards with an obvious meaning on its face. On one level, this card represents romantic partnerships, relationships and marriage.

But one of the deeper meanings of this card is the importance of choice. Making correct choices applies to our whole lives, not only our love relationships. To make our best choices, we need to know who we are and what we want and need to find personal fulfillment.

Deeper yet, this card is a symbol of alchemical work. The synthesis of duality through the mystical marriage or union of twins. The uniting of identical things that appear separate or different. These are the two aspects of our ourselves – our human nature.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Lovers card travels Path 17. It joins sephiroth or sphere 3, Binah (Understanding) with sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty). Its Hebrew letter is Zain (a sword). Surprising? It seems like that would be more in keeping with a fighter than a lover. Yet as a “weapon” the sharp blade of intellect cuts through illusion and irrelevancy. A sword comes to a point – and these things are all necessary in choosing well.

Astrology

The Lovers card is the zodiacal trump of Gemini, ruled by the planet Mercury. Here are The Twins. Identical in appearance and complementary in nature, they symbolize the union of opposites. They merge into totality; two become one, and duality resolves into unity.

In real-time astrology, the Sun continues its transit of Earth-sign Virgo. Like Gemini, Virgo has Mercury as its ruling planet. Also, we’re likely still feeling the effects of the New Moon in Virgo.

This lunation encourages us to take charge of our lives. Get organized. Review, edit and refine your work. This is especially productive for written communication. Start or restart healthy routines.

“Lovers forever, face to face. My city, your mountains – stay with me, stay…”

Mercury is transiting Air-sign Libra. This will have a positive effect on all matters of unity and partnership. That includes romantic commitments and marriage. The focus is teamwork. We play nice and we play fair.

Mars is currently transiting Virgo. This energy can make us short-tempered. We may need complete transparency when it comes to others’ intentions. Impatience and anger can flare up. Manage your expectations. Be prepared to give other people their space.

“With a friend, I can smile, but with a lover I could hold my head back, I could really laugh…”

Mars enters Libra on September 14th, the last day of this forecast period. We seek security and stability. It’s easy to identify areas of inefficiency and waste. Finding better methods and improving current ones creates harmony.

“I’ve been your lover from the womb to the tomb…”

Virgo and Libra energies complement the energy of this week’s card. Avoid the Virgo tendency to over-analyze and the Libra tendency for indecision.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Lovers card brings indecisiveness. Inconsistency. Unenlightened self-sacrifice, imbalance, and a lack of self-insight or self-knowledge block our progress.

Light

Let’s focus on decision-making from our hearts this week. We can muster the courage and awareness to act in our own best interests without selfishness or ego.

Alchemy

Power colors: orange, yellow, pale mauve and grey.

Power stones: carnelian, red coral, jade, agate and topaz. Wear these as jewelry or carry them as power stones to help keep our minds and hearts clear as we make our choices.

Power metals: Mercury is this week’s metal. Impossible to wear. Still, it’s a reminder to remain adaptable and flexible in deciding your best course of action.

Power fragrances: Sandalwood, musk, lilac and iris. These aid in integrating mind, heart, body and spirit.

Power foods: foods prepared with parsley, dill, lavender, lemongrass, mace, peppermint and rosemary. Brew tea from peppermint. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.

Four of Wands: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

Four of Wands: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

8-31-21 through 9-07-21

Four of Wands

The Four of Wands is this week’s Tarotcast card. We’ll focus on committed relationships of all kinds. These can range from business partnerships to friendships and marriage. The Four of Wands influences our commitment to others and our shared endeavors.

The Elements

The fire of the Will in its highest physical manifestation. Tempered by the gentle energy of Venus, stability and order create structure. Therefore, things are whole and complete.

The Number 4

The Fours of the Minor Arcana bring form and structure to their respective suit and element. Here is stability and nurturing for further development and manifestation. The Fours bring unification, domestication, reflection, or gestation to events and situations.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Four of Wands card represents the formula 4. Sephiroth or sphere 4, Chesed (Mercy), the sphere of Jupiter. Materialization. In the suit of Wands (Atziluth), the archetypal world. The element of Fire; our will. Plus, Venus in Aries, equaling Completion.

Astrology

The Four of Wands represents Venus in Aries. It rules from 20 to 30 degrees Aries, or April 11th through April 20th. So, if your birthday falls on or between these dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. This is fine-tuned energy. Aries drives toward achievement and success. That is best accomplished with the tact, gentleness and diplomacy of Venus.

In real-time astrology, the Sun is transiting Earth-sign Virgo. Organized, practical approaches harmonize with the energy of this week’s card.

Venus is transiting one of its two home signs, Air-sign Libra. Libra is Aries’ polar opposite sign. This transit, combined with this week’s card proves opposites can attract. We’re diplomatic and take other’s points of view into consideration. We look for win-win solutions. So this is great energy for partnerships and collaboration.

“No sense in waiting for a swift completion to come – that invitation is all I’m waiting on…”

On August 30th Mercury enters Libra. It will retrograde here later in September. Before it does, it will have a positive influence on all matters of unity. This includes romantic commitments and marriage. The focus is teamwork. We play nice and we play fair.

“Wheels of completion rolling – wait to put my mind at rest…”

We have a New Moon in Virgo on September 6th. We seek clarity and order. We want emotional safety and stability. Sorting and organizing bring a sense of peace. Avoid intolerance. Even in the best circumstances, life can be messy. Remember, our way isn’t the only way to do things.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Four of Wands card includes vanity. Overestimating ourselves or our abilities. Senseless and frantic activity, egotistical self-indulgence.

Light

Let’s focus on inner fulfillment, harmonious partnership and aspiration to spiritual ideals.

Alchemy

Power colors: emerald green, spring green, sky blue and bright rose pink for Venus. Scarlet red for Aries.

Power stones: emerald, opal, jade, sapphire, lapis lazuli (for Venus). Ruby, bloodstone, diamond and garnet (for Aries). Wear these as jewelry or carry them as power stones. These will energize us while keeping us attentive to the feelings and needs of others.

Power metals: copper and iron. Choose copper for its healing and balancing properties. Iron isn’t great for wearing. Combined with copper (copper sulfate) though, the two create sparks – like fireworks!

Power fragrances: wild rose, hibiscus, bergamot, plumeria, violet and magnolia. Also, apple, vanilla and strawberry. Balance drive and strength with fairness this week for success.

Power foods: foods prepared with apple, vanilla and strawberry. Also, everyone’s favorite thistle – the artichoke. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.

Ten of Swords: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

Ten of Swords: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

8-24-21 through 8-31-21

Ten of Swords

The Ten of Swords is this week’s Tarotcast card. No trips to Happyland this week, folks. The energy here can’t degenerate any further. In the Minor Arcana, the energy of the Tens transforms the energy of the current suit into that of the next suit. In this case, the next suit is Disks.

Here, Swords represent the mind and the intellect. That’s another way of saying the Ego. Since they are in the final process of destruction, all I can say is “ouch.” There is a positive side to this. Yes, the Ego-self experiences great pain. But our true Self comes through the process more integrated and better on the other side.

The Elements

In the Ten of Swords, the element of Air is all disruption and disorder. Mental and intellectual energy are reason devoid of reality.

The Number 10

The Tens of the Minor Arcana represent completion. They are the manifestation and culmination of energy. This completion gives way to new beginnings.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Ten of Swords represents the formula 10. Sephiroth or sphere 10, Malkuth (Kingdom) the sphere of the Earth and the material world. In the suit of Swords, the element of Air. This is the realm of our thoughts and mental faculties; Ruach – the intellectual world. Plus, the Sun in Gemini equaling Ruin.

Astrology

The Ten of Swords symbolizes the Sun in Gemini. It rules from 20 to 30 degrees Gemini, or June 11th through June 20th. So, if your birthday falls on or between those dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. The Sun in Gemini is the complete identification of the Ego-Self with the mind. Devoid of all but the intellect, this is a recipe for self-destruction.

In real-time astrology, the Sun is transiting Earth-sign Virgo. Organized, practical energy can ease some of the tensions this week. On the positive side, Virgo – or our pure, virgin Self can come through the destruction better than before. Avoid some of the negatives of Virgo – criticism and harsh judgement. Also, taking attention to detail to extremes – nit-picking and irrelevancy.

“I hear hurricanes a-blowing, I know the end is coming soon – I fear rivers overflowing – I hear the voice of rage and ruin…”

On August 30th Mercury enters Air-sign Libra. This transit can also help counteract the negatives of this week’s card. We’re diplomatic and take other’s points of view into consideration. We look for win-win solutions.

“Guess I’ll see you dancin’ in the ruins tonight! Dancin’ in the ruins!”

On the same day, we have the Last Quarter Moon in Air-sign Gemini. This phase corresponds to “letting go.” Release toxic and destructive people and situations. Go within and find answers through meditation, not analysis.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of this card includes extreme violence. This is intellectual but includes emotional and even physical manifestation. Catastrophes of all kinds.

Light

Let’s focus on what is positive in this card. Abandon and separate from the toxic; or anything that no longer serves our highest good. This is the way of liberation.

Alchemy

Power colors: olive, russet, yellow, orange and amber, along with gold.

Power metals: mercury and gold. Mercury serves as a symbol of change and adaptability. Gold reminds us of the Sun’s power – to burn and scorch, but also to bring life-giving heat and energy.

Power stones: diamond, ruby, jade, topaz, amber and agate. Wear these as jewelry or carry them as power stones. They remind us that much like a trip to the dentist, the anticipation of pain is often worse than the pain itself. And we usually feel much better once it’s over.

Power fragrances: marigold, heliotrope, juniper, orange, acacia, cedar, cinnamon, clove, and frankincense. These invoke powerful “solar” energy this week. Use discretion in wielding that energy.

Power foods: foods prepared with sunflower seeds and oranges. Season with galangal, cinnamon, clove, parsley and dill. Beverages made with hops (beer) or juniper (gin). Trust me, this week some alcohol (in moderation) – may serve medicinal purposes. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.

The Priestess: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

The Priestess: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

8-17-21 through 8-24-21

The Priestess

The Priestess is this week’s Tarotcast card. This card is also known as The High Priestess. Our intuition and inspiration will be flowing this week. The Priestess is the embodiment of feminine consciousness. She is the Yin principle and she guards the gate of the unconscious. Her purity and virginity are spiritual rather than physical. Her veil is like a bridal veil; only the Initiate of the Light may lift it.

The Priestess’ invitation to us is to look within for our answers, she knows but doesn’t tell. We’re able to unravel mysteries and discover hidden information this week. This doesn’t mean we get to pry or spy. But answers come to us if we tap into our psychic abilities, intuition and dreams. We can trust what we see and feel with our inner senses.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, The Priestess travels Path 13. This card joins sephiroth or sphere 1, Kether (the Crown) to sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty). Its Hebrew letter is Gimel which means “camel”. Think that’s odd? The Priestess traverses the Abyss – the desert of the soul. Like the camel crossing the desert, she’s designed by nature to cross the wasteland.

Astrology

The Priestess card is the planetary trump of the Moon. She represents the Moon in its highest aspect – the aspect that joins the human to the divine.

In real-time astrology, the Sun concludes its transit of Fire-sign Leo. It enters Earth-sign Virgo on August 22nd. This energy is in perfect alignment with that of this week’s card. She is the virgin we carry within ourselves, untouched and intact.

“She is sublimation…She is the essence of thee…”

Jupiter is semi-square to Chiron on August 18th. Though we search for meaning and deeper understanding they may be difficult to find. Our personal beliefs and philosophy may not reflect who we are.

On August 19th Uranus retrogrades in Earth-sign Taurus. We find practical ways to overcome our internal blocks. We seek spontaneity and authenticity. We’re less likely to rebel, at least on the surface.

“You, who brought the sunshine to my eyes. You, who wondered through my sad disguise…and I have a love that cannot die … for you.”

We have a Full Moon in Air-sign Aquarius on August 22nd. It occurs at the end of Aquarius. So, it may bring final decisions or the end of matters at hand. We seek friendship and fellowship. We’re more impartial and objective in our thoughts and actions.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Priestess includes falling into illusions. Phoniness and escape from reality. Lunar energy – like lunar light – can be deceptive and seductive. We can’t be careless or trust only in our physical vision.

Light

Let’s focus on openness and receptivity. Remain aware that not everything is as it appears on the surface. Instead, examine and process information rather than accepting anything at face value.

Alchemy

Power colors: silver, pearlescent white and cool, pale blue.

Power stones: chalcedony, clear crystals, opals or moonstones. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones to enhance your psychic and intuitive abilities. They will help us see the truth of the matters at hand.

Power metal: silver. Wear it for its clear, bright light. Silver is one of the most reflective of all precious metals. It is the “whitest” of them and is also the most conductive of electricity.

Power fragrances: poppy, lily, white rose, gardenia, jasmine, lotus flower, myrrh and sandalwood. These will purify and cleanse mind, body and spirit and invite clear inner vision.

Power foods: coconut, lotus root, poppy seeds, cloves and wintergreen (mint). Also, tea brewed with jasmine or mint. All provide the same beneficial effects already described.

Six of Wands: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

Six of Wands: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

 8-10-21 through 8-17-21

Six of Wands

The Six of Wands is this week’s Tarotcast card. We’ll be experiencing the successful completion of a project or task this week. This energy is most welcome. It reminds us that whatever obstacles, difficulties or setbacks we’ve endured – we won. Rewards come for our hard work and persistent efforts. We are confident that what we have achieved is repeatable. We can build on this success again and again.

The Elements

In the Six of Wands, the element of Fire is the steady heat and light that warms and illuminates. Here, the Will in action manifests in perfect balance and harmony.

The Number 6

The sixes of the Minor Arcana restore harmony and balance. The fives cause disruption. They cleanse, regenerate and create conflict in a stable system. Afterward, the sixes bring affirmation, confirmation, validation and solidification.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Six of Wands card represents the formula 6. Sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty). The sphere of the Sun, where energy manifests in a completely balanced way. Within the suit of Wands (Atziluth). This is the Archetypal world. The element of Fire; the Will. Plus, Jupiter in Leo equaling Victory.

Astrology

The Six of Wands card represents Jupiter in Leo. It rules from 10 to 20 degrees Leo, or August 2nd through August 11th. So, if your birthday falls on or between these dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. Jupiter in Leo is expansive, boisterous, warm and generous. The triumphant power of this card is like that of the noble Lion or Lioness. We claim our rightful place as rulers of our own lives.

In real-time astrology, the Sun continues its transit of Fire-sign Leo. At the beginning of this forecast period, we’re still feeling the effects of the New Moon in Leo. Every New Moon is a perfect time to set new goals and intentions. It’s a clean slate and a chance at a fresh start. Share your unique vision. Create and play.

“Trails of troubles, roads of battles – paths of victory we shall walk…”

Jupiter continues its retrograde transit of Air-sign Aquarius, Leo’s polar opposite sign. Combined with the energy of this week’s card we are open-minded and fair. We may act on behalf of others. Avoid stubbornness. Impulsive acts of rebellion may lead to failure rather than success. We may also get too caught up in thought and fail to act when the time is right.

“Fate unwinds and if we die, souls arise. God, do not seize me please, till victory…”

On August 11 Mercury transits from Leo to Earth-sign Virgo. Mercury is in one of its home signs when in Virgo. This energy is constructive, focused and efficient. Clear communication. Details are the building blocks of effective planning and action.

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of this card includes being presumptuous. Overstepping others’ boundaries with our assumptions. Avoid the desire to create a personality cult with oneself as the central figure. Unless you do that, success is unlikely. Even if it were, the triumphant optimism that is natural to this week’s energy would be completely lost.

Light

Let’s focus on tackling the week with enthusiasm! Both the giving and receiving of trust and loyalty are keys to our success. Enjoy your successes and victories. Accept the recognition and reward you’ve earned. Stay centered in self-confidence without arrogance.

Alchemy

Power colors: rose pink, violet, and purple for Jupiter as well as deep purple, grey and amber for Leo.

Power stones: ruby, diamond, rose quartz, amethyst, and amber. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones to feel optimistic and grounded. Then, celebrate your victories!

Power metals: Leo gold and Jupiter tin. Go for the rose or yellow gold (for obvious reasons)!

Power fragrances: poppy, sage, heliotrope, honeysuckle, hyssop and cedar. These will help you stay confident about victory without arrogance or egotistical self-promotion.

Power foods: foods prepared with anise, cinnamon, clove, mint, nutmeg and sage; or hops (think beer!) All provide the same beneficial effects already described.

The Tarotcast is a free Tarot reading with a new post every week on Tuesday!
